The Takedown Camp
Focus on the techniques and drills necessary to master the neutral position. Athletes can expect to learn how to handfight and score like the best D1 wrestlers in the nation. Intensive drilling and repetition combined with live situations will enable each camper to master their skills. Each camper will also have the opportunity to test their skill and learn first hand in live goes against current Buckeye wrestlers.
This camp is intended for the advanced well-conditioned wrestler. In addition to a great deal of sparring and live wrestling, campers will experience a demanding physical, conditioning program. This intensive camp system has helped produce state and national champions across the nation. Athletes who attend this camp can expect to train 4 times a day. Campers can expect to go through rigorous early morning conditioning, late morning technique and hard drilling, mid-afternoon live wrestling and late evening review sessions. Campers will be expected to bring their running shoes and plenty of changes of workout clothes. This camp is open to all comers, but we ask only those who are serious about being the BEST attend this camp.
Youth Commuter Camps
This is a camp designed for those novice and intermediate youth wrestlers who live close enough to commute, this cmap will be held in the Ohio State Varsity Wrestling Room in the brand new Jennings Wrestling Facility. The Youth Commuter Camp will meet for one session each evening 5:00pm – 6:30pm. Parents are welcome to stay and watch any of the sessions. This camp is designed for children and new wrestlers as games are implemented as a part of practice along with training and learning the skills necessary to succeed at the youth level.
Mat Wrestling Camp
This camp will focus on the importance of dominating the match on the mat in the top and bottom positions. You will learn to ride, turn and pin with high quality techniques that will work at every level of the sport. There will also be a strong emphasis placed on the importance of achieving reversals and escapes from the bottom position using a variety of techniques taught by current Buckeyes.
Father and Son Camp
This camp is designed for the novice wrestlers who want to experience all that the Ohio State University has to offer while spending quality time and bonding as parent and child. We will cover the basic skills needed for any beginner to improve their wrestling abilities by learning takedowns, escapes, and pinning combinations. This camp is designed for campers in grades k-6 and their parent or trusted adult. Parents will be encouraged to participate with learning and teaching techniques on the mat and stay with their child in the dorms if they are staying overnight. One adult is also welcome to bring more than one camper.
Team Competition Camp
This camp provides individuals and teams the opportunity to learn technique from the best clinicians in the country and compete in up to 10 very competitive dual matches throughout the week. Individual and Team awards will be given to each weight class MVP and to the runner-up and championship teams. Teams will consist of both groups from the same school as well as free agent teams so everyone gets to wrestle. Free Agent teams will be coached by current Buckeye wrestlers.

Since 2006, we have worked with over 4,000 campers and look forward to working with you this summer! We have hired some of the best clinicians in the country and are excited for another great year of camps. Our coaching staff is dedicated to providing a superior camp experience by teaching skills that translate into success at all levels, as well as creating a competitive yet fun atmosphere for campers to excel!
