Overview

U.S. Wrestling Camps were developed by top college coaches to provide superior technical training in a competitive and positive atmosphere. The Nutmeg Wrestling Camp is designed to provide a total wrestling experience while providing superior individual development opportunities. The camp will be an all encompassing camp consist of individual training, technique sessions, intensive training and live wrestling competition. Our proven instructional curriculum will give each camper the ability to improve and become more dedicated – on and off the mat.


About Our Coaches

Andy Lausier

Andy will direct our Nutmeg Wrestling Camp at Sacred Heart University. Andy is the Head Coach of Sacred Heart University. He comes to the Pioneers from Princeton University, where he was the Head Assistant Coach for four seasons. Before that, Andy was the Head Coach at Stevens Tech where he led the squad to three NCAA appearances. He has also coached at the College of New Jersey where he coached an NCAA champion five All-Americans.

Coach Lausier had a standout wrestling career at Lycoming College. He had a collegiate record of 121-29 and was named an All-American. He qualified for the NCAA tournament three times. IN 2009, he was inducted into the Lycoming Athletic Hall of Fame.

Derek Moore

Derek Moore joined Sacred Heart coaching staff after serving five years of active duty as an officer of the United States Army. As part of the Army world-class athlete program, Moore trained with numerous Olympic Champions and qualified for and competed in the 2012 United States Olympic team trials. In 2007, while wrestling for the University of California, Davis, Moore won the Division I NCAA Championship. He was also named 2007 NCAA Most Outstanding Wrestler on top of being names Pac-10 Conference Wrestler of the Year.

9:15 Camp Meeting, Stretching
9:00 Individual Technique
11:30 Lunch (Campers Bring Their Own)
12:30 Free Time
1:30 Live Wrestling/Dual Meets
3:00 Intensive Training
4:00 Free time
5:00 Dinner
6:00 Technique Analysis
6:30 Live Wrestling
8:00 Ext Day Campers depart, Back to dorms
